I started Eddie the Yeti back in 2021, and over the next three years I poured my heart into getting Eddie out into the hockey community. Then, on August 1st, 2024, our second son, Townes, was born. As every parent knows, personal time quickly takes a back seat to your most important responsibility—your family.
Because of that, I spent the last year and a half devoting most of my time and energy to raising our boys. They’re certainly not all grown up by any means, but I’m finally able to shift a little more creative energy back toward Eddie the Yeti. And I have to say—it feels really good.
My wife and I also spent the majority of 2025 rebuilding our new home in Palmer Lake, Colorado. We found a fixer-upper sitting on 2.7 acres and, in May, took it all the way down to the studs. Over the next six months, we rebuilt it piece by piece. Surrounded by tall evergreens and stunning views, it’s shaping up to be an incredible place to raise our boys and put down roots.
If you tried to purchase a book or check in on new content over the past year, I appreciate your patience. Life was full, and my focus was exactly where it needed to be—family first. The good news is that our e-commerce store is back up and running, and I’m excited to get things moving again.
I’ll also be sharing new content on Facebook and Instagram on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And soon, Eddie the Yeti will be back out at more U8 skates so hockey kids can see Eddie in action once again.
I hope this hockey season is treating you and your family well, and that your kiddos are learning some great lessons—about this amazing game and about themselves.
Sincerely,
Christopher Scott
